Literature

  Literature are the creations that are written and published for people to read and enjoy it. Literature are the expressions and feelings of a creator that are written straight from one’s mind or heart. It is something that cannot be bounded by any rules, limits and boundaries. There are many forms of literature such as story, poem, essay, drama etc. The four known genres of literature are poetry, drama, fiction and nonfiction. Each genre of literature is as beautiful and wholesome as the other.   Millions of literary works have already been published till date in hundreds of languages. Both the literary works written in a language and its translated versions reflect the beauty of literature that are captured in it and unveil only once it is read and understood. Literature cannot be described within a size limit. It could be as short and sweet as a ‘Haiku’ in a leaflet and as long as the epic “Shakuntal” by Laxmi Prasad Devkota. Post Class Reflection: Week 8

Today, on 2 nd September, 2020, we attended one more English Class. I took today’s class with same joy and excitement like the previous classes. There were 2 very interesting presentations lined up for today which made us happier. All of us were eager to begin today’s class and so were the presenters to present their presentations.   The class began with two of my friends presenting on a short story named “Mr. Know All” written by William Somerset Maugham. This was a very interesting story that was presented in an even more fascinating technique. This story deals with the theme of “ Never judge a book by its cover” , with the mentality of people who still carry thoughts of racism. The story tells us that the outer appearance could never unveil the inner reality. The various aspects of this story were presented by the presenters such as the racism that had been shown within the story and various other angles of the story that made it even clearer.     After this, ...
