Post Class Reflection (Week 3, Friday)

We began today’s English class with a Quiz on an online platform. The quiz was related to English language especially the grammar part. It was really helpful to learn something new in this fun manner. I completed my quiz and our teacher Eak sir secured first position among all of us. Then today’s presentations began. Today we got to learn about Concept papers and Technical Papers.

First of all, the presentation on Concept papers begun that were presented by a group of my class mates. Concept paper is a document that is written before performing any research or doing any projects and is all about how is it important, why are we doing it and how do we plan to achieve our goals. It includes title page, statement of problem, preliminary literature review, goal statement, research question, methodology, timeline and references. The concept paper basically delivers the necessity of any research or project to its readers. This type of papers can really be important when we need to know about the purpose or methodology of any researches conducted or any projects that take place. The concept papers helps to summarize the entire tasks.

Then the next presentation was about a technical paper, which is mainly used to describe about the outcome of any technical or scientific research. This type of document is mainly useful to analyze, and draw various conclusions from various sources. The technical paper mainly consists of Title, Abstract, Introduction, Theoretical Background, Apparatus and Procedures, Result and Discussions, Conclusion and References.

After this, our teacher gave us some important points related to these topics and dismissed our class for that day. Today’s class was also as interesting as it always used to be. I would cherish further if the classes were as interactive as it was today. Also the knowledge we gained today about the Concept paper and Technical Paper could really be important for all of us in the future.

Post Class Reflection: Week 8

Today, on 2 nd September, 2020, we attended one more English Class. I took today’s class with same joy and excitement like the previous classes. There were 2 very interesting presentations lined up for today which made us happier. All of us were eager to begin today’s class and so were the presenters to present their presentations.   The class began with two of my friends presenting on a short story named “Mr. Know All” written by William Somerset Maugham. This was a very interesting story that was presented in an even more fascinating technique. This story deals with the theme of “ Never judge a book by its cover” , with the mentality of people who still carry thoughts of racism. The story tells us that the outer appearance could never unveil the inner reality. Post Class Reflection: Week 6

  “Knowledge is a treasure that follows its owner everywhere.” So with this positive note, I would like to begin post class reflection of today’s English class, which was as spell binding as the previous classes. One and half hours of learning with equally interesting interactions and discussions with Eak sir was all I needed to write this blog. Today we mainly discussed on Technical Communications part, where we learnt how to write “Incident Reports” and “Lab Reports”.   Firstly few of my friends presented on “Incident Reports”. It was a type of report which was written by the observer of some kind of incident especially damage of physical property or some kind of mishap. These kinds of reports had to answer all types of Wh-questions i.e. what, where, when, etc. regarding that incident such as place, time, cause, effect and damage caused.
