Post Class Reflection (Week 4)
Today, we got to attend our Technical Communication class after a few days gap with a heart full of excitement and extremely hopeful eyes expecting to learn something new. But before seeing the presentations, today we learnt to write acrostic poems, a part of literary writings where certain letters of a word spell out a word, sentence or meaning. I would definitely share mine at last. Then our teacher showed us a video on how the Internet works. In the previous weeks, we used to play quiz but this time it was something new and equally educative. Our classes have been virtual since the beginning as a part of new normal but still it is as effective as the regular classes.
First of all, a group of my friends gave presentation on “Scientific Journal Articles”. This can be really important for scientists and researchers as some studies and findings might not be completed or discovered within their lifespan. So they can publish their studies so that others can read it and take their research on that topic further. But while writing these, one must be always careful about the copyright issues as one should be aware enough to publish his/her own work. The journal papers should include about the procedures and methods used in the research and also the apparatus used in it. This type of writing has many rules and aspects that one must take care of while writing. The journal articles must be self-explanatory about the entire studies so that the readers can understand it.
Then a second group gave their
presentation on “To know a Fly” written by Vincent Dethier, which was about a
scientist and his interest in the field of science. And after this
presentation, we further discussed a little about the Toulmin’s Model and its
importance in the arguments. Then Eak sir explained about the arguments between
the intellects and the role of Toulmin’s Model. Many of my friends presented
their opinions. And after a brief session of interaction, the class concluded.
So here goes my acrostic poem,
S
= Sincere
A = Ambitious
R = Reliable
I
= Invincible
N = Nice
