Post Class Reflection: Week 7

     Today we attended one more English class taught by Eak sir, so I thought to write a Post Class Reflection on today’s class. Today’s class was mostly about Technical Communication where we learnt about various types of the reports. Then we went through the literature portion and saw presentations of an essay.

First of all, one of our friend presented on “Travel Report” that has to be written like memo. This travel report had to be written after visiting a place and had to include all the details of the journey, destination and the various arrangements that had been arranged throughout the journey. This type of report could include specific tasks that had been done or observed at the destination and its techniques as well as the tools and the material used. Then few questions were asked on the topic and the presentation ended.

Then the other friends presented on “Recommendation Report and Feasibility Report”. A recommendation report is usually used to provide the most suitable and applicable solution to a problem. It is also used to evaluate the possible solutions of a given problem so that one can be chosen. First of all the problem is identified and possible solutions are proposed. Finally all the solutions are evaluated in order to find which solution would be most suitable. Feasibility reports were the reports that were written to examine whether a task or project would be beneficial or good to be conducted. This execution and was quite important for us.

Then we took part in a class activity where all of us were supposed to answer which was the best idea that we got today. Then finally we moved to the literature portion. Two of my friends presented on an essay named “Keeping Errors at Bay”, written by Bertrand Russell, which was a part of critical thinking. In this essay, the writer expressed why did people make errors and also suggested ways to reduce such mistakes. Mistakes are made by everyone but some foolish mistakes can be easily reduced.

The class today was quite important as well as interesting. We got to learn about many topics form today’s class.

Post Class Reflection: Week 8

Today, on 2 nd September, 2020, we attended one more English Class. I took today’s class with same joy and excitement like the previous classes. There were 2 very interesting presentations lined up for today which made us happier. All of us were eager to begin today’s class and so were the presenters to present their presentations.   The class began with two of my friends presenting on a short story named “Mr. Know All” written by William Somerset Maugham. This was a very interesting story that was presented in an even more fascinating technique. This story deals with the theme of “ Never judge a book by its cover” , with the mentality of people who still carry thoughts of racism. The story tells us that the outer appearance could never unveil the inner reality. Post Class Reflection: Week 6

  “Knowledge is a treasure that follows its owner everywhere.” So with this positive note, I would like to begin post class reflection of today’s English class, which was as spell binding as the previous classes. One and half hours of learning with equally interesting interactions and discussions with Eak sir was all I needed to write this blog. Today we mainly discussed on Technical Communications part, where we learnt how to write “Incident Reports” and “Lab Reports”.   Firstly few of my friends presented on “Incident Reports”. It was a type of report which was written by the observer of some kind of incident especially damage of physical property or some kind of mishap. These kinds of reports had to answer all types of Wh-questions i.e. what, where, when, etc. regarding that incident such as place, time, cause, effect and damage caused.
